Planning a kitchen.

When to call us, what happens after you do, what moves the price, and what to have ready when we come to measure.

What happens after you call.

  1. First conversation

Call, email or visit the showroom, or send a Vision Board from our 3D designer. We talk through your ideas, your budget and how you use the kitchen.

  2. The measure

We visit your home, or go over your blueprints for a new build, and take measurements.

    What to have ready

  3. Drawings and quote

Within 5 to 7 business days you get drawings, renderings and a quote, so you can see the kitchen before you order.

  4. Choosing the finish

We help you pick a cabinet style and colour from melamine, wood and painted MDF, with laminate countertops to match.

  5. Made to order

We aim to have your cabinetry ready 4 to 5 weeks after you order. The season and the size of the project can change that.

  6. In your home

We deliver, and our installers fit the cabinets, usually in 2 to 3 business days for a kitchen. We coordinate the flooring, lighting and plumbing trades around them.

When should we talk?

It depends on where your build or renovation is. Pick yours to see what to do now.

Your project
Where is your build?

Still on paper.

This is the best time to call. Moving a wall, a window or the sink is easy on paper, and we can go over your blueprints with you.

Choose your appliances now if you can. Cabinet sizes, cut-outs and venting all depend on the exact models.

The walls are framed.

Call us now if we haven’t talked yet. The rooms are real, and the pipes and wiring haven’t gone in.

This is the time for solid blocking in the walls, behind open shelves and wherever a hood will hang.

Pipes and wiring are going in.

Settle the kitchen layout now. The sink, dishwasher, range, outlets and hood duct are all roughed in to it.

Check the island most of all. Its outlets, pendant boxes and any sink or dishwasher pipes go in now. Adding them later means opening a finished floor or ceiling.

The walls are closed.

From here on, moving a pipe or an outlet means cutting into a finished wall, so check the rough-in against your kitchen layout.

If we haven’t talked yet, call now, and ask us when the final measure should happen for your build.

Floors are going in.

Ask your builder whether the floor goes under the cabinets or around them, since many floating floors can’t be pinned under cabinets. Either way, run it under the dishwasher so the dishwasher can come out later.

If your cabinets aren’t ordered yet, call us today.

The walls are getting paint.

Custom cabinets are built to order. If yours aren’t ordered yet, call us today and ask what still fits your possession date.

Have your blueprints and your appliance models ready when you call.

Where is your renovation?

You’re collecting ideas.

Try styles in 3D with the Vision Board, and start a list of what bugs you about the kitchen you have now.

Call whenever you have questions. A board shows us what you like, and you get a clear quote before anything is built.

You’re ready to plan.

Call us to set up a measure. We visit your home, take measurements and go over the layout with you.

Choose your appliances before the layout is final, since cabinet sizes and cut-outs depend on the exact models.

You have a date in mind.

Tell us the date when you call, and work back from it. Drawings and a quote take about a week, and the cabinetry about 4 to 5 weeks from order.

Ask us what still fits your date.

Work is about to start.

Set up a temporary kitchen before the old one comes out.

Ask who takes out the old cabinets and who books the plumber and electrician, so nobody is left waiting on anyone else.

What changes the price.

We don’t publish prices, because every kitchen is made for one room. These are the choices that move the number, and which way it goes. Your real price comes after we measure, or go over your blueprints for a new build.

Questions.

Do I need drawings before I call?

No. If you’re building new, bring your blueprints. If you’re renovating, we visit your home, take measurements and go over the layout with you.

Is the Vision Board a drawing of my kitchen?

No. It’s a style sketch. We measure your space and work out the real layout after you send it.

Does sending a Vision Board commit me to anything?

No. It shows us what you like. You get a clear quote before anything is built.

What will my kitchen cost?

It depends on the size of the kitchen and the choices in it. Your real price comes after we measure, or go over your blueprints for a new build, as a clear quote before anything is built.
